“Fantastic Production” – Sleeping Beauty a sellout crowd!

A massive thank you to the 180+ people that came to Victoria Hall last Thursday evening to enjoy this spellbinding production!  It was great to see Victoria Hall so full of friends, old and new.

This was the second year running that we have hosted Saltmine theatre company in the run up to Christmas and again the team put on an amazing production with their version of this classic fairy tale.  It took most people until the half time interval to realise that there were in fact only 4 actors in this 8-part production.  The staging, lighting, haze effects and slick costume changes all added to the professionalism of these talented actors who wowed us with their West End quality singing and dancing. The cast also interacted with the audience and expertly handled the heckling children! As one attendee commented, “The price of the tickets didn’t reflect the quality, you could have charged 3 times as much!”

Thank you again to all who came, we count it a privilege to host quality events to bless Our Community.

PS We are already in the process of booking the team for next year so we’ll keep you posted!

Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes

Yes, it’s nearly that time of year again. Time to start thinking about presents and what you’re going to cook for Christmas dinner this year. But more importantly it’s time to think of those less fortunate than ourselves. This year we’ll be running our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox appeal again. Fill a shoebox with toiletries, gifts and toys and help spread the message of love and kindness this year.

You can buy a suitable box for just 40p from Carolyn, along with instructions on what kinds of things to include.

More information on the appeal can be found on the Samaritan’s Purse website
